The second edition of Crypto Series of Poker wrapped up this past weekend with the pinnacle of the series, the 2,5 million CHP Main Event. The event was a perfect way to end this highly successful series which saw 2011 players participating across the 16 events.

The main event on its own attracted 158 players which generated a prize pool that landed just north of 3 million CHP. The winner of the event walked away with well over 800,000 CHP.

Besides the guaranteed prize pool there was also the 0.25 BTC bounty which was awarded to the player that sent Tony G packing. Pfaecks would be the one that gave Tony his walking papers picking up pocket rockets at the same time as Tony was dealt the ladies. The queens didn’t improve and with that pfaecks walked away with the BTC bounty.

Other bounties won during the series were awarded to udooooon who knocked out Rob Campbell which resulted in a 0.2 BTC payday and Yippiebeans who was awarded a 0.1 BTC bounty for knocking out Isabelle “NoMercy” Mercier.

Smashing guaranteed prize pools

In total over the series, the 16 events did not only reach the guaranteed prize money but surpassed it with over 2,000,000 CHP, equal to roughly 16% over the original guaranteed prize purse.

The most popular event in the series, looking at the number of starting players was without a doubt Event #1, which attracted a total of 275 players. Those entries in combination with the 292 rebuys that were made meant that the 300,000 CHP guaranteed prize pool was crushed, increasing with almost 80 %, landing at 538,650.

Big turnout

It wasn’t just the regular players who decided to turn up to play. The series also attracted a huge number of new players which we are extremely happy about. All the hard work that went into making this series has paid off in spades.

With such a success, and with players already asking about when the next CSOP will take place, we have already started looking into the possibility of doing another edition of Crypto Series of Poker. When this will happen is too soon to say. We are going to review the results in more detail along with all the feedback you players have brought forth, take all that into account before commencing any plans and schedules for the next event.

We would like to thank every one of you for making this such a success. Without you, the player, this wouldn’t have been possible.

BTC bounties to be won

With Crypto Series of Poker now behind us, we look to what’s ahead. This coming weekend, we will see the return of the Rob Campbell Bike Ride along with NoMercy Shooting Star. We are giving you the opportunity to win not one but two BTC bounties. Qualifiers are available starting at 100 CHP buy-in.
