Updates from Coinpoker in January

As you might have noticed, there has been a lot of changes happening here at Coinpoker. We thought it would be best to share them with you in an updates from us, something we plan on doing on a regular basis.

Introducing sports betting

The biggest news so far in January is the introduction of our brand new sports betting feature. This means you can place bets on your favorite sports, while waiting for the next big hand! You have over 15 different sports to choose from along with major football and basketball leagues. And, of course, both Pre-Match and In-Play markets!

For now, sports betting is not available on mobile devices and players from the USA will not be able to access it.

Updates to the Bike Ride

The successful TonyG Bike Ride that was held during the Christmas holiday returned last weekend and was yet again a smashing success. We will see the event return this coming weekend as well but this time with some minor adjustments.

The two biggest updates in the upcoming events are the currency of the bounty, which will be changed from CHP to BTC again. The second change is that TonyG will only play in the first of the two bounty tournaments and the one that knocks him off his bike will earn a 0.25 BTC bounty.

The second bounty event will belong to our star poker player, OFC world champion, Isabelle “NoMercy” Mercier. Knocking her off her Shooting Star will earn the lucky player a 0.1BTC in bounty.

Reinforcement has arrived

If you are one of those players that frequently visits our Telegram group, then you might have already seen an influx of French users in there. This is something you will see on both the cash and the tournament tables over the coming days as well.

A leader of a French crypto trading community “BoyPro” tried the CoinPoker app recently and it was love at first sight. As a result, BoyPro forces will join CoinPoker and help us in our quest to increase our player base even further. Our new-made French friends can be identified by the “BoyPro” pre-fix in their usernames. So say hello when you are at the same table as one of them, to make them feel at home!

If you have any concerns regarding security issues because of the similar player names, rest assured – our security team is always on top of things and the games will stay fair and transparent.

App updates

All of you would have received a notification through your app that there would be a scheduled maintenance of the CoinPoker servers, thus disrupting certain elements during this period.

It lasted little under an hour during which our developers were able to address items which had been brought to our attention by you, our players.

Items that were addressed included:

• Time bank issue, where the time bank wouldn’t auto start at times has been resolved
• Hand replayer will now show the last hand played, not the last hand viewed
• Hand strength meter – Visible above the community cards, showing the best possible combination the player has at any given moment.
• Buy-in levels at highest stakes tables increased to a minimum of 100 big blinds.

What the future has in store for Coinpoker

We enter into 2020 with a very positive outlook and our plans are to continue building on this. For it to happen we constantly review our activities and make necessary adjustments to ensure bigger and better things.

We will be focusing on further improvements on our app, our ability to provide you with the most exciting promotions on the market, all in efforts to drive the traffic to new heights.
