Reporting from Tokyo: Sponsoring the Japan Poker Cup 2018
As official sponsors of this year’s Japan Poker Cup, our team traveled to Tokyo to watch the nation’s biggest poker event of the year. At the JPC final event, we got a chance to play with Japan’s finest, as well as meet with local partners and set some exciting plans in motion.
During the visit, CoinPoker’s Head of Poker Operations, Paulius Mikaliunas, and Regional Manager of CoinPoker in Japan, Adrian Tamas, discussed future partnerships with the JPC’s organizers. Expanding on the current range of poker promotions in Japan was the focus of conversation, and we hope to share more news about more satellites for Japanese poker events in the future.

Overall the event was a success, and our team is proud to have sponsored yet another well-known poker event in Asia.
We’re happy that this cup was such a success, and that thousands of players all over Japan participated in it. The fact that CoinPoker’s brand is recognizable in Japan, and that players enjoy our platform is something we are immensely proud of. We are also grateful for the opportunity to host exclusive online satellites to the final event, where players who didn’t qualify had another shot to compete in the final. That being said, we heard a lot of suggestions on how to improve our software, and how we can improve our user experience for Japanese and Asian markets.”
– Paulius Mikaliunas, Head of Poker Operations at CoinPoker
Thanks to the scale of the Japan Poker Cup, our team was able to meet with some of the biggest poker venues and influencers in the country. We plan on pursuing more partnerships and expansion opportunities, making CoinPoker accessible to more Japanese players and Japanese events accessible to our community!
