Our Top 5 Gambling Movies For The Weekend

Since the weekend is getting closer we’ve decided to share our top 5 gambling movies with you.  A poker movie is a great choice if you decide you need a break from the table, but still want to feel the thrill of the game.

There’s a bit of everything for everyone in our gambling movies list: a documentary, a true life story, a couple of great plot twists and some bits to laugh about.

Here are out top 5 gambling movies in no particular order:

  1. All In: The Poker Movie (2009)

A documentary focusing on why poker has had it’s ups and downs through history and why this game is the way to chase the American Dream for so many people.

2. Mississippi Grind (2015)

A story about a man who’s down on his luck, but meets Curtis, who seems to be his lucky charm. The two set off on a road trip hoping of winning back what’s been lost.

3. Rounders (1998)

An engaging story about a young gambler, who must return to playing big stakes poker to help a friend. This movie is considered to be one of the best poker movies of all times.

4. The Grand (2007)

An improvisational comedy where actors compete in an actual poker tournament.

5. High Roller: The Stue Ungar Story (2003)

The story of poker legend Stuey Ungar. A gambler by the age of 10, Ungar won millions playing card games.
